I’ve never seen Game of Thrones.

Some chair from a show

Game of Thrones had a lot of filming locations peppered around Northern Ireland. On our first full day in Ireland we took a bus tour to Giants Causeway. Luckily the driver had watched the show and a bunch of filming locations were on this tour.

Gone swimming I guess……

I have no idea whats going on in this shot above.

The first location was this set of stairs in a small town harbour. This town is called Carnlough, twas a pretty little town where Winston Churchill once owned a place called the Londonderry Arms which I think is a hotel and restaurant.

I stole this part

Carnlough Harbour is also, where you can see the location for Bravos that featured Arya climbing from the waters after being stabbed by the waif.

Iphone photo of the stairs. Pretty sick.

Next shooting location we went to was a cave where……..

The caves are where Sir Davos Seaworth and Lady Melisandre landed ashore in Season 2 and are also where Melisandre gave birth to a terrifying shadow baby. The caves also feautured again in season 8 with the famous battle between Jaime Lannister and Euron Greyjoy.

Whatever that means.

please don’t feel like you need to watch this…. I didn’t.

Okay okay…. after this we went to the Giant’s Causeway. Which was amazing and fun and a very good hike. Here are a few images

I don’t think they shot anything at the Causeway so let’s move on……

The last location was a super cool one… visually it was a mouthful or however the saying is.. The Dark Hedges

Here are my photos from there.

Also we went to Bushmills Distillery…. I love me some Irish Whiskey.

No…… Yes…….. No
